Flowrider Surf Simulator… wipeouts

Hey, welcome to another MADCTY video! In this one, I’m taking on a challenge that many people would argue is best left to the kids: the Flowrider surf simulator. But let me tell you, it’s not about being the best or even being good at it. It’s about having fun, trying new things, and setting an example for my kids that life should be lived, not feared.

I want to set the example for my boys that it’s important to do the things you want to do, regardless of whether you excel or fail fantastically at them. And that’s exactly what I do in this video. I give it my all on the Flowrider, even though I know I’m not going to be great at it.

But why do I make videos about my adventures? Well, the truth might surprise you. For a long time, I lived my life in fear of what others would think of me. I tied my identity and self-worth to other people’s opinions of me. But years ago after some counseling, I realized that what other people think of me is none of my business. And the same goes for what I think of others, it’s none of their business what I think of them so I don’t need to go out of my way to share those thoughts.

So now, I make videos for myself. I love making videos, and I hope that in the process, I can make a few people smile or maybe inspire them to try something new. And sure, I enjoy it when my skills improve and the quality of my videos steps up, but that’s not the point. The point is to live my life on my terms, to have fun, and to inspire others to do the same.

So if you’re watching this video and thinking, “I could never do that,” I want you to know that you can. You don’t have to be good at something to try it. You just have to be willing to put yourself out there and have fun. Who knows? You might surprise yourself and discover a new passion. Or, like me, you might just fail fantastically and have a great time doing it.
