Slide Rock State Park, Arizona

This was my last day in the Sedona Arizona area, as such I was trying to maximize my experience and get everything in that I could. I started the day in the wee hours with a hike up to Devils Bridge, after checking into my hotel room and getting settled I took a run out to Slide Rock State Park... Not what I'd call a hiking destination, but a beautiful walk along a river that would only have been better in hot weather without the brutal wind that day.

Boynton Canyon – Subway Cave and Beyond

The primary driving force behind heading to Sedona was the hiking, one of those trails that really had me excited was the Subway Cave - the photos online coming out of this area were breathtaking and it was high on my list. I didn't know what to expect from Sedona but I have to say it was more than I was expecting... and I mean that in the best and worst ways...

A Day Trip to Jerome, Arizona

The town itself is interesting, once America's largest Ghost town, the population of 15,000+ dropped to 50 over a few mere months when the mines closed... since then the abandoned ghost town became settled with bikers and artists squatting, and now is a fairly thriving artist community full of some rather interesting types...

Hiking Pine Creek to Tonto Natural Bridge

So to have someone who was where I was (Sedona) in one of the most amazing locations I've been, say that as beautiful as Sedona is, Tonto Natural Bridge is even better, well let's just say it peaked my interest enough that I had to go.

San Diego, Marina Longboard Wipeout

Having arrived back at the Marina near the convention center I took another rip around the Harbor, this time not seeing a section of boardwalk where 4 bricks had been removed, my front wheels and trucks dropped in the whole, stopping the board instantly and sending me flying forward in my best superman impression onto the concrete, smashing my elbow, shoulder and wrist in the process and destroying my watch.
